"IS THAT A ROCKET IN YOUR POCKET, DADDY, OR ARE YOU JUST PLEASED TO SEE ME?"

It's well known that President Trump has a particularly soft spot for his daughter Ivanka. In the past he has even joked about marrying her -- if he was not her father. Perfectly understandable. Ivanka is one hot lady and obviously wasted on a dweeb like Jared Kushner.

But just as Monty Python once said, "Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government," so cute daughters crying over dead children is no basis for a superpower conducting war and peace in the Middle East.

But this is what appears to have happened, with stories emerging that Donald Trump's decision to bomb Syria was heavily influenced by his favourite daughter's emotional response to the overcooked coverage of the gassing incident.

As reported by the Daily Express:
Trump has long opposed military intervention in Syria – both as a private citizen when he criticised Obama’s intervention in the region, and as President. But the Republican firebrand is believed to have made his dramatic U-turn after being convinced by his daughter Ivanka’s impassioned response to the Assad regime’s use of chemical weapons on Tuesday. A source close to the first family said: 'Increasingly, Ivanka is having more and more influence over her father."
A worrying trend indeed.

Putin had better not run over any kittens or bunny rabbits on his way to work at the Kremlin as it might mean WWIII.
