|Yes, Mike, you were right. Sorry we doubted you.|
It looks like ex-UKIP leader and MEP Nigel Farage "dindu nuffin," but the sex scandal that has erupted in the UK after the top politician paid attention to a sexy young blonde woman who befriended him, proves that Mike Pence was right about politicians avoiding compromising situations with women they are not married to.
In the US Pence has come under fire after it was revealed that he had a rule never to dine alone with a women other than his wife. Many in the Liberal media decried this as "sexist" and even called it part of "rape culture."
Even though Farage has separated from his now dowdy and overweight wife, he is believed to be in an exciting new relationship with a young French woman, so any other sexual relationship, especially one with a grubby porn star, would be compromising and cast his character in a poor light. Yes, British political culture still has higher moral standards than those on the continent, especially the French, where politicians are expected to hump everything that moves.
Farage's mistake was to spend time alone with Valerie Fox, aged 30, a porn star and "glamour model" who was seated next to him on a transatlantic flight. Other passengers have reported seeing them in conversation and in each other's company at the bar. This has allowed Ms. Fox to claim that they were snogging and groping and even contemplating f**king in the plane's toilets.
Not only this, but after their plane landed at Heathrow Airport in London, it appears that Farage may have even given her a lift to her apartment and even briefly entered. This, of course, gives Ms. Fox plenty of leeway to claim all sorts of things that could reflect badly on Mr. Farage's character.
If Farage had instead followed the Mike Pence's system, he would have politely ignored Ms. Fox's attentions and then asked the stewardesses to move him to another seat.
